thus begins the weekly assortment of well thought menu ideas.
chicken. broccoli. lettuce. eggs and bread.
I started the day with eggs. 2 exactly. no mor, no less.
at 10 I was hungry. (in my defense it was a pretty busy/active morning. I didn't get a chance to sit down. I run a daycare, so put 2 and 2 together.)
powered thru till 10:30. annddd I had a piece of bread. I could feel that all too familiar sugar crash happening.
fast forward to lunch time, I dug out my chicken allotment for lunch, decided to eat my broccoli and my tomato (thanks dad, it was free) for lunch. dinner would be my salad and possible more chicken. or maybe a sandwich. we shall see how we feel.
at lunch I was given half a banana and a vanilla yogurt. I don't see it as a bad thing as they were free. that works right? no budget dipping needed. after all, I have a dollar and 20 cents left to my name after the shopping trip.
supper time. I debated doing just the salade. since we did some outside work, I was hungry like the wolf. salade wasn't going to cut it. so I has sammich. I cut 2 rather thin pieces of bread, loaded it with lettuce as I have alot, tossed on some chicken and added mustered.
reflecting on my menu choices, I could have taken more time to plan out a better menu. my decision to choose the chicken was 1. there is alot of meat there. 2. I can make broth with the bones. the other items were to fight off the scurvy.
now it's 11ish and I feel...alive?
day 2 begins tomorrow. I sort of feel like I'm part of some mean elite diet.
sadly tho. it's not. seriously. this is enough food to get you by. but not to survive on..
